From the Director
The director of Flourish Child Psychology is Julia London. Julia is a Clinical, Educational and Developmental Psychologist with over 14 years experience working with children, adolescents and their families.
Fees and Rebates
Flourish Child Psychology is a fee for service organisation. Fees are payable at the time of your consultation. Different services provided at Flourish Child Psychology attract different fees. We use a booking and payment system that securely stores client payment information and the fee will be deducted at the conclusion of the session.
The Australian Psychological Society recommended rate for psychological services is currently set at $300.00 (50 minutes consultation). At Flourish Child Psychology we have set our rate below this recommendation to make access to services easier for families.
Rebates may be available for some services. Clients may be eligible for rebates under Medicare, Private Health Funds or The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) for specific service types. We are currently accepting NDIS clients who are self and plan managed.
When a consultation time has been allocated to a client, the time has been set aside by the clinician. While it may be possible to fill appointment cancellations made in advance, this is generally not possible with less than 2 days notice. As a courtesy, a reminder SMS is provided to alert clients of upcoming appointments. Appointments that are cancelled at short notice will incur a fee as per the cancellation policy.
Current Waitlist and Availability
Flourish Child Psychology is currently accepting referrals for assessment clients.
A waitlist is in place for clients seeking therapy supports. Timeslots available for waitlist are currently within school hours only. The waitlist for after school appointments is currently closed.
Contact made to Flourish Child Psychology via the contact form, email, or phone may not be answered immediately, and we will seek to get back to you as soon as possible.
Anyone seeking urgent support is encouraged to contact emergency services.

The Process
Clients may contact Flourish Child Psychology following recommendation from a health professional, school or independently. Some clients may be referred directly by a health professional, in which case reception will aim to make contact with the client at our earliest convenience.
An initial appointment is made with a clinician where the child's clinical history will be obtained and a plan will be made in collaboration. This plan may include psychometric assessments, psychological interventions, observation or collaboration. The assessment or treatment plan will be tailored to the client and their goals.
Further appointments or assessments will then be scheduled as per the plan.
Regular review of progress and discussions will be conducted during the treatment process, or at the end of an assessment. For clients referred under Medicare, reports will be provided to the referring health professional at specific intervals.
Families may be discharged any time at their discretion or when goals are met.
There may be occasions where families are recommended and referred for alternative services that better meet their needs.
Collaboration with parents and carers, treating health professionals and school supports may be appropriate throughout treatment or assessment. This will be discussed with clients and their families as required.
